Overview of Our Architecture

MyQuery supports two main products:

• Desktop App (Local Use)
• Cloud Chatbot (Hosted Service)

Both are built with different security models to match your environment and privacy needs.

Account Responsibilities

When using the MyQuery desktop app:

• Everything runs locally on your machine, including SQL execution and database connections.
• Your database credentials and query results are never sent to MyQuery servers.
• Queries may optionally be processed via a secure AI gateway (e.g., OpenAI) – only if explicitly allowed.
• No intermediate data is stored; you stay in full control of your session.
• No third-party tracking or logging is enabled by default.
• If enabled, all communication with the AI model is encrypted over HTTPS.
• Your database stays completely within your network perimeter.

Cloud Chatbot Security

We follow a minimal data collection principle, storing only what is required to make your experience seamless and secure.

For the Desktop App:

• No database credentials stored.
• No query logs or results saved.
• Only your query text may be processed temporarily through the LLM if explicitly enabled.
• No session or user data is retained.

For the Cloud Chatbot:

• Encrypted database credentials (never in plain text).
• User conversation history (optional, to improve your session continuity).
• We do not store full query results unless required for support with your explicit consent.

What Data Do We Store?

AI Model Access and Controls

• We use secure LLMs like OpenAI and Azure OpenAI, and your prompts are sent via HTTPS only.
• By default, AI models do not "see" your data. You must manually opt-in by setting allow_llm_to_see_data = True.
• Even in opt-in cases, data is only temporarily used in memory and never stored on our servers.
• You are always in control of how much context the AI receives from your database.

Code Integrity

• Our Python SDK is open-source and publicly available on GitHub.
• Every contribution is reviewed, tested, and linted before being merged.
• Community and enterprise users can audit and extend the code as needed.

Third-Party Services

We only partner with globally trusted infrastructure providers, including:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Microsoft Azure
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

All partners meet industry standards for data security, redundancy, and compliance.

Employee Access Control

• MyQuery staff do not access customer data by default.
• Access is granted only on explicit written request for support purposes.
• All employees are under strict confidentiality agreements and zero-access-by-default policies.

Optional Logging & Training Data Use

• We do not use your data for model training unless you explicitly opt in.
• Any logs retained for debugging are anonymized and automatically deleted after a limited time.
• You may request data deletion at any time from our platform.

Compliance and Certifications

• We are actively pursuing SOC 2 Type II compliance.
• This includes long-term auditing of our security, privacy, and availability controls.
• Certification is expected to be completed in early 2026, affirming our commitment to enterprise-grade standards.

What We Don't Do

• We don't store raw database content unless explicitly required.
• We don't use your credentials in plain text.
• We don't allow third-party tracking scripts or external advertising SDKs.
• We don't train AI models on your private data without your permission.

Data Rights and Deletion

• You can request full data deletion at any time via our support.
• For enterprise clients, we offer custom data retention policies and auditing support.
